The outdoor pieces in design catalogs cost thousands. The DIY plans online look like it: chunky, dated, and written for people who already own a workshop. We thought there should be a third option.
Our answer
Design first. Then make it simple.
Every piece starts as a design we’d be proud to see on a resort deck. Then we re-engineer it until a first-timer can build it: straight cuts, screws, standard 8-foot boards and one trip to Home Depot. If a step is hard, we change the design, not the instructions.
